About Pastor Michael Geerling

Michael and Kirstin were married in 1997 and they have 3 children. In 2001 Michael accepted the call to ministry and left a career of guiding backcountry skiing and rockclimbing. Together Michael and Kirstin gathered and ministered to young adults and high schoolers from the Albury Wodonga region. in 2006 Michael spent 3 years in the suburbs of Brisbane working with a large multicultural congregation as Youth Pastor, Children's Pastor then Family Pastor. 2008 saw Michael and Kirstin move to Tatura in country Victoria to establish Family Coaching Australia, an organisation dedicated to inspire and equip parents. Working as Assistant Pastor at Generations Church Tatura for 12 months Michael. God spoke to Michael and Kirstin during 2009 about the next step to take the leadership of Faith City Church. After two years of preparation God enabled an incredible transition of leadership. Michael and Kirstin are leading the church into the next season of effective service. Michael is honoured to be given the role of leadership and blessed by his mentor and predecessor, Ps Warren McMartin.

Life

Life: Our church is life and salvation in Jesus name. We believe the church as the body of Christ is active and influential in the life of the individual, in families and in our community. Our desire is the every person can know how to use Godly wisdom to live this present life to the full. We want you to enjoy the life, freedom, fun, community and power of a life connected to Jesus Christ.

Salvation

For us to come into a real and powerful relationship with a loving God requires us to trust and believe in Jesus. We must take a honest look at our life and then even take the step to commit our lives to love God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength. To do this will cause significant change as we now must value what Jesus valued above our own desires. Jesus valued his relationship with his Father and he valued people, he loved people so much that he gave his life for people, including you and I. This is a life defining and life changing prayer. If you pray this and begin a journey of following Jesus then you will join an incredible family from all over the world that is the church. And our church is about an eternal promise of salvation through Jesus and a present promise of relationship with God here and now. Our church is life and salvation in Jesus name.

Salvation Prayer

I encourage you to pray this prayer as I have: "Dear Jesus, I choose to give my life to you today. I understand that I am a sinner. Thank you for dying for me and paying the price for my sin that separated me from God. I accept your love and forgiveness. I know I am part of your family and have eternal life. Today I give my life to you and make you Lord and saviour. Help me to understand the depth of your love and the life you have for me. Teach me and change me through your word and the Holy Spirit. Guide me and lead me into your will for my life.
